As the Chairman of Occident Meets Orient – Multicultural and Ecological Vision for Eurasia and Africa e.V., I work at the crossroads of analysis, media, civil society, and humanitarian action. My path has been shaped by experience across countries and disciplines — from private investigations and strategic consulting to producing, human rights initiatives, and international cooperation. These skills converge in a single direction: building platforms for connection, support, and development in a world defined by uncertainty and cultural diversity.
Occident Meets Orient is not just an NGO. It is an international platform born from the intersection of cultures, conflicts, and dialogue. We operate where the world needs a living bridge — between continents, between tradition and modernity, between the pain of the past and the potential of the future.
We do not exist for reports — we exist for change.
Our team brings together people with backgrounds in humanitarian aid, international journalism, education, strategic consulting, digital technologies, and human rights advocacy. We are effective where it is most complex. We listen to those who are not heard. We build solutions where others see dead ends.
Why are we here?
Because in a world torn by crises, injustice, and digital inequality, we cannot afford to wait.
We do not wait — we act.
- We launch digital literacy schools in Cameroon.
- We raise aid for victims of earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye.
- We lead cultural and educational initiatives in Germany.
- We collaborate with Lions Club Almaty, support civic initiatives across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and African countries.
- We build media platforms that give voice to those drowned out by the noise.
Our approach is a combination of precise thinking and honest action.
We don’t just respond to problems — we understand their structure, identify root causes, and design resilient solutions. We do not separate human rights from education, ecology from culture, or the local from the global.
We are creating a network of meaningful action:
- A network of solidarity, where every project is a response to a real need.
- A network of partnerships, where trust matters more than status.
- A network of humanism — not as rhetoric, but as a method.
Cameroon holds a special place in our work.
There, we are building infrastructure for education, culture, and the future.
Not as outsiders, but as partners, as allies — as those who believe Africa is not a “region of risk”, but a center of global growth and resilience.
Our work in Cameroon is just the beginning. We envision a path that reaches across dozens of countries and hundreds of initiatives.
We do this because we believe:
- If not us — then who?
- If not now — then when?
- If not together — then why at all?
Occident Meets Orient is a space for those who want to be part of a new story — a story where solidarity, knowledge, and respect shape a new language for international relations:
the language of humanity.
Join us.
We have already begun.
Sincerely,
Yevgeny Bort
